Pinto League is an instructional league where it is designed to build the child’s baseball skills while having fun.As with all Hemet Youth Baseball Leagues, the children are our first concern.Teach them baseball, good sportsmanship and build their self esteem.
GAME LENGTH: Games will be no more than 6 innings or 1-hour and 20-minutes, (whichever comes first). (Saturday only)
UMPIRES: Home team supplies the game umpire.
SPECIAL RULES:
Only rubber soled or rubber cleated shoes are permissible. No steal or metal tip shoes allowed.
All batting helmets must have a protective faceguard and be worn by all offensive players who enter the field of play (including on deck hitters)
Base runners are not permitted to steal or lead-off and shall remain in contact with the base until the ball is hit.PENALTY: Runner is called out.
When batting, only the hitter/base runners and an on deck hitter are allowed on the field of play. All other must remain in the dugout for player safety.
Ten (10) defensive players will be on the field.The tenth player shall be a fourth outfielder, stationed not less than 35 feet behind the baseline when the pitch is made.
Mandatory Play Rule:No player will sit in the dugout consecutively more than one defensive inning. Penalty: Manager ejected from game.
Double and Triple plays are allowed.
Base runners must slide or avoid when there is a play at the base including home. No sliding at first base.
Players may not play any position for more than two consecutive innings.
Infielders must play either behind or directly in front of the base paths. No encroaching by any player is permitted.
Coaches cannot grab base runners at anytime. If a coach physically assists, the runner will be called out.
Turning at first base toward second base shows intent of the runner to run to second base and is at risk of being tagged out.
No arguing with the umpire over judgment calls. Protest of rule interpretations will be directed to the umpire in chief by the coach immediately following the rule infraction one time is called. The coach must show the stated rule in the rule book within three minutes to the Umpire in Chief. The Umpire in Chief will then render a decision. All protests cease at this point.
The Coaching Staff will behave in a responsible manner and as positive role models. No dissension towards umpires, opposing players, or spectators will be tolerated. Coaches are responsible for the behavior of themselves, their players, and their spectators.
Please have your players and parents help clean up around the dugout and field after every game.
All players must be in full uniform while on the field during a game.
It is mandatory for all Managers and Coaches are be in full uniform while coaching.If Manager and/or Coach are not in full uniform the Manager and/or Coach will not be permitted to participate in the game.The Director on duty will enforce this house rule.
The Umpires are to stay in a neutral area of the baseball field in between innings.

As a coach, you hold the future of these children and HYB in your hands. We entrust our teams to your care. HYB expects responsible leadership from our coaches, players and parents.
